Treya Takes a Powder

As she stood there,‭ ‬tied to a stake,‭ ‬Treya was a little bummed out her village had pegged her for the demon sacrifice.‭ ‬Yeah,‭ ‬she was a beautiful maiden and all that,‭ ‬but she’d had big plans for her life that didn’t include early and painful death.‭ ‬A lot of flowery words were said about duty and honor and everything,‭ ‬but to Treya it sounded like gross rationalization.‭ ‬When the drooling demon arrived,‭ ‬Treya snapped his ugly neck.‭ ‬He exploded into dust,‭ ‬a surprised expression on his face.‭ ‬Treya untied the tether around her ankle and left without looking back.
